Whenever I think about the event that has made the most profound effect on me, that has made the greatest impact on the way I see things, the first thing that comes into my mind is Jacqueline Novogratz as she has a lot of positive energy that drives me to a new world that focuses on living a life of purpose. It reminds me of my goals and values and guides me in this path. To explore why, of one’s life, is something that’s meaning a lot for me.
She not only knows the why of herself but also she made others, urges them to explore their whys. There must be some hidden force inside of this push that we feel in ourselves that compels us to think and the force is the positivity the positive emotions of Jacqueline. The most impactful was her question that is
“What is the pain you want to sustain?”
It reminds me of the real purpose of our lives. As everybody wants ease, comfort, a luxury so do they don’t have any price? But it’s all about fantasy. All we need is inner peace and happiness which can only be achieved by being humble, by living a life of purpose, by following our passion instead of endless desires. Maybe we don’t bend history according to Jacqueline.
"It is in the total of all those acts that the history of this generation will be written"
To live a life of immersion is the only secret that will sustain us. And I believe, to have an impact not only on me but thousands of people is because of her positivity her positive attitude to solve all the problems. Although I knew the purpose of my life and had a list and reasons beforehand but it gives me a root cause to get stuck with what I am doing, with what my goals and purposes are. I may wander somewhere else whenever my energy would go down but it gives me a firm foundation and roots of sustainability. It nurtures and soothes my soul and reminds me of the purpose of my presence and that is “Khudi”.
